Our favorite drawing and painting style is expressionism. It focuses on fostering creativity and is the freest form of self-expression. It also encourages everyone to explore their expressive potential by creating something from personal feelings and experiences.
Recommend a Starting Point
Let’s keep it simple. Start with classes that are appropriate for all to see if our classes fit your needs.
However, if drawing and painting are going to be a long-term hobby, we recommend starting out with a drawing class or the introduction to painting class. After your introduction to painting class, we’ll focus on problem-solving as you gradually develop your own style and focus.
Acrylic or Oil
Some love the meditative effects of oil painting while others prefer the expressive methods of acrylic. We’ve tried to answer the common questions on the FAQs page but contact us if you’re not sure what to choose.
You need to bring your own supplies and materials. We don’t want you to get discouraged by recommending expensive brands or too many tools. Please visit the drawing and painting supplies page for more information.
